Yuri VASYUCHENKO 
Honoured Artist of Russia 

Prizewinner of the All-Soviet Union Contest of Ballet Dancers in Moscow (1980, First Prize), a prizewinner in the Contest of Ballet Dancers in Varna (1981, Third Prize) and in Moscow (1981, Third Prize), holder of The Lenin Young Communist Prize (1981).

Mr. Vasyuchenko is a graduate of The Vaganova Leningrad Choreographic School (A. Kumysnikov’s class) and The Moscow Academy of Choreography, the course of choreography direction by Yury Grigorovych and Henrich Mayorov.

Being a dancer he performed lead parts in ballets by P.Tchaikovsky, Eduardas Balsys, Charles Gounod, Adolph Charles Adam, A. Khachaturian, S. Prokofiev, by Ludwig Minkus, A. Melikov, I. Stravinsky, Glazunov and other ballets.  

He has been training dancers in the Academy of Choreography in Russia, as well as in London, Tokyo, Osaka, New York, Washington and other cities since 1985.

Yury Vasyuchenko has been Principal Choreographer of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre since 2009.

As a choreographer he has put up the ballets Paquita by Ludwig Minkus, Walpurgis Night by Charles Gounod, Mysteries from the Vienna Woodsto the music by J. Strauss and G. Mahler, Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus, The Ballet Fairy Show, dances in the ballet gala Nureyev Forever, as well as dances in the operas Turandot by G. Puccini, Prince Igor by A. Borodin, Don Giovanni by Mozart, and Aida by Verdi.

Oksana LYNIV
Conductor of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre

Prizewinner in The First Maher International Conductors’ Contest in Bamberg, Germany (2004, Third Prize), holder of scholarships from The Goethe Institute, German Service for Academic Exchanges, Dresdner Europa Stipendium, and Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation for Young Musicians, holder of a special scholarship given to women-conductors by The Berg Symphony Academy and Conductors’ Forum of German Music Board.

Ms. Lyniv is a graduate from The Opera and Symphony Conducting Faculty of The Lysenko Lviv State Music Academy and K. M. von Weber Higher School of Music (Dresden).

Oksana Lyniv has conducted Bavarian Chamber Music Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestras of Berg, North Rhine-Westphalia – Westphalia, Bremen and Nurnberg, opera orchestras of Bonn and Osnabruck (Germany), opera orchestras of Lviv National Academic Theatre, National Opera of Estonia, Symphony Orchestras of Romania and Japan. The conductor has been working for Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre since 2008.

Since then Ms Lyniv has revived operas La boheme by Giacomo Puccini, Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo, has produced a ballet Mystery of the Vienna Woods in original music concept based on music by Gustav Mahler and Johannes Strauss.

Natalia BEVZENKO-ZINKINA
Principal designer of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Honoured Painter of Ukraine

Ms. Bevzenko-Zinkina is a graduate of the Grekov Odessa School of Art.

The artist has designed sets and costumes for more than sixty productions on the stage of Odessa Opera since 1970. She has produced designs for operas AidaLa traviataUn ballo in mascheraIl trovatore,Rigoletto by G. Verdi, ToscaLa bohemeMadam Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini, Cossacks in Exile by Hulak-Artemovsky, Catherina by M. Arkas, Iolanta by P. Tchaikovsky, Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo, and for ballets The Swan LakeThe Sleeping BeautyThe Nutcracker by P. Tchaikovsky, Giselle by Adolphe Charles Adam, Paquita and La Bayadere by Ludwig Minkus, etc.

Ms. Bevzenko-Zinkina has designed sets for state festivities dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine, 200th Anniversary of Odessa Foundation, Jubilees of Taras Shevchenko, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, Leonid Utesov, David Oystrakh and Enrico Caruso.

The artist worked as a designer at international music festivals in Hungary, Bulgaria, China, Italy, Lebanon, and Cyprus.

Elena YEVSEYEVA
First Soloist, The Mariinsky Theatre. Honoured Artist of the Udmurt Republic

International Ballet Competition prizewinner (Seoul, 2009, 1st prize) Ms. Yevseyeva is a graduate of the A. Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.

Her repertoire includes: lead parts in Swan LakeThe NutcrackerThe Sleeping Beauty by P. Tchaikovsky,Giselle by A. Adam, Le Corsaire by A. Adam, Raymonda (Raymonda by A. Glazunov), Bacchante (Walpurgis Night by C. Gounod), Laurence (Laurence by A. Krein), the Sylph (La Sylphide by H. Levenskiold), Nikiya, Gamzatti (La Bayadere by Ludwig Minkus), Kitri (Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus), Cinderella (Cinderella by S. Prokofiev), Markitenka (La Vivandiere or Markinenka by C. Pugni), Polyhymnia (Apollo by I. Stravinsky), Soloist (Les Noces by I. Stravinsky), Aegina (Spartacus by A. Khachaturian) and others.

Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2005.

Repertoire includes: Don Quixote (Basilio); Le Corsaire (Ali, Lankedem);Romeo and Juliet (Romeo, Mercutio, Troubadour); La Sylphide (James, Youths); Giselle (Count Albrecht, Classical Duet); The Sleeping Beauty(Prince Désiré); La Bayadère (Dance of the Golden Idol); Le Spectre de la rose and Pétrouchka (Pétrouchka); Spartacus (Retiarius, a Dying Slave); etc.

He has worked with choreographers such as Johnny Eliasen, Gary Chryst, Alexei Ratmansky, Ben Huys, Noah D. Gelber and Peter Quanz.

Has performed in Mariinsky Theatre soloists’ gala concerts in St Petersburg and towns and cities throughout Russia and abroad.
