Three new opera soloists to perform the parts in the Pique Dame by Tchaikovsky

Three soloists of the Odessa Opera will perform parts in the Pique Dame by Pyotr Tchaikovsky for the first time. The performance is scheduled at 6:30 pm on December 12.

Thus, Konstantin Andreev, who was invited to join the Odessa Opera Company in September, 2013, is singing the part of Herman. The tenor performed in the Teatro Real (Madrid) before he joined the Odessa Opera. 

Taisia Shafranskaya, a graduate from the Nezhdanova Music Academy, is debuting on the stage of the theatre as Polina (and as Milovzor in the intermezzo).

Vasili Dobrovolsky, a soloist of the Odessa Opera, is singing the part of Prince Yeletsky for the first time.

Other participants of the performance are Inga Martynova (Liza), Tatiana Spasskaya, Honoured Artist of Ukraine (Countess), Vadym Tchernigovsky (Count Tomsky), Ruslan Zinevich (Chekalinsky), Dmytri Pavlyuk (Surin), Andrey Perfilov (Chaplitsky), Igor Tsarkov (Narumov), Zoreslava Dolgaya (Governess), Anastasia Holub (Masha), Nadezhda Sychuk (Prilepa) and Victor Muzychko (Master of Ceremonies).

Aleksandru Samoile, People’s Artist of the Republic of Moldova, is conducting the performance.

The current production of the Pique Dame in the director’s cut by Alexander Titel ( Moscow) was premiered on the stage of the Odessa Opera on October 19, 2013.
