Two opera soloists will perform parts in the Rigoletto by Verdi for the first time

Two soloists of the Odessa Opera Company will perform parts in the Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi for the first time. The performance is to be on stage on December 14 at 6:30 pm.

Catherina Tsymbalyuk is singing the part of Maddalena and Andriy Perfilov will perform the part of Matteo Borsa.

Catherina Tsymbalyuk is the winner of Grand Prix of Boris Gmyrya All-Ukrainian competition of vocal art (2008), First prize winner of International competition Yuzhny Express (Yalta, 2009), First prize winner of International competition Mistetstvo XXI stolіttya (Kiev – Vorzel, 2010).

Andriy Perfilov is the winner of 3rd prize of two International singing competitions in Karlovy Vary (2002 and 2005), the diploma holder and special prize winner of Leonid Sobinov XVIII International Music Festival (Saratov, 2005), the holder of Nikolay Ogrenich Award (2005) and the winner of the Elena Obraztsova International competition of vocalists (St. Petersburg, 2005).

The main role in the Rigoletto on December 14 will play Pavlo Yermolenko, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, the part of Duke of Mantua will perform Vladislav Goray, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, and the part of Gilda is singing Alyona Kistenyova. Other participants of the performance are Dmitro Pavlyuk (Sparafucile), Yuri Dudar (Marullo), Victor Shevchenko (Count Ceprano), Irina Oleksiv (Countess Ceprano and a Page) and Dmytro Sebov (a Court Usher).

Also Lyudmila Shirina, the People’s Artist of Ukraine, is starring as Giovanna and Anatoliy Boyko, the People’s Artist of Ukraine, is playing as Count Monterone.
