The Odessa Opera soloist Natalia Pavlenko to debut as Amelia in Un ballo in maschera by Verdi on December 21

Natalia Pavlenko, a soloist of the Odessa Opera Company (in the photo) is debuting as Amelia in the opera Un ballo in maschera (aka A Masked Ball) by Giuseppe Verdi. The performance is on stage on December 21. 

Natalia Pavlenko is a Golden Medal winner and a special prize holder of the Hariclea Darcle International Vocal Competition in Romania. She is also a prize winner of international vocal competitions in Karlovy Vary (The Czech Republic) and in Kiev. Ms. Pavlenko is a graduate of the Nezhdanova Odessa National Music Academy where she trains new singers at the Chair of Solo Singing. The singer has appeared on stage with the National Opera of Ukraine and opera houses of Prague, Warsaw, Donetsk. She has toured the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Romania, Serbia. 

Another soloist of the Odessa Opera, Andrey Perfilov, a prize winner of international vocal competitions, is to perform two parts in the performance on December 21. He is going to sing a judge and Amelia's servant.

Other performers in the show are Oleksiy Repchinsky as Riccardo, Oleksander Stryuk as Renato, Marina Godulyan as Ulrica, Anastasia Holub as Oscar, Oleksander Patrick as Silvano, Dmytro Sebov as Tom and Vadym Chernigovsky as Samuel.

Igor Shavruk, Honored Artist of Ukraine, is going to conduct the performance.

The show starts at 6:30 pm.
