Closing of the 207th theatrical season!

Summer is time for rest and vacations, but for the theatre it is also time to sum up the achievements of the season. Our audience will remember the 207th theatrical season of Odessa Opera House due to the beloved performances and new productions as well – the premiere of the ballets "Fates" to the music of J. Gomelskaya and "The Sleeping Beauty" by P. Tchaikovsky, the operas "Cavalleria rusticana" by P. Mascagni and "Pagliacci" by R. Leoncavallo, as well as the children's cognitive and entertaining program "Journey to the Orchestra" as a part of the project "Odessa Opera House for Children".

Certainly, it is the result of a solidary, coordinated and selfless work of all departments of the theatre! The theatre management expresses gratitude to all those who are on and behind the stage, creating bright theatrical performances.

Due to the united efforts of the whole team, in this season we have also held traditional international art festivals which adorn cultural life of our city and moreover, they are significant music forums – II Festival "Mellow Season at Odessa Opera House" and V "Christmas Festival".

We sincerely wish peace, goodness, prosperity and, of course, the embodiment of interesting original plans in the new theatrical season to all members of the staff and creative team of the theatre!

We thank our beloved audience for being with us, because this great theatrical mystery is performed exactly for you!

During the summer holidays we invite all theatre goers to visit the children's performances of the ballet studio of Svetlana Antipova (July 9 and August 1 – “Little Red Riding Hood”, July 16 – “Alice in Wonderland”, July 18 and August 6 – “Cinderella”, July 26 – "Peter Pan") and a concert of organ music (July 16).

The theatrical company starts working in August: on August 2 and 5 you can admire the children's ballets "Cipollino" and "Aibolit XXI", on August 3 – a concert of organ music dedicated to the 175th birthday of M. Lysenko, and on August 3 and 4 – musical fairy tales for children "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Emerald City".

On August 6 we will be happy to see all connoisseurs of theatrical art at the opening of the 208th theatrical season. It will be started with the opera “Aida” by G. Verdi.
