There are three debuts in “Iolanta”on May 5!

In the earliest performance of “Iolanta” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the audience will have an opportunity to hear two new soloists of the opera troupe. Tenor Vitaliy Liskovetskiy will perform the part of Vodemon and baritone Oleksiy Zhmudenko - the part of Ibn Hakia.

Vitaliy Liskovetskiy is a laureate of international competitions, he graduated from Lviv National Musical Academy named after Nikolay Lysenko. He worked as a soloist of Lviv National Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnitskaya, in Kharkiv and Dnepr Opera Houses. He toured in Poland, Russia, China, Spain and the UK. In 2016 - 2018 he often performed in the theatres of the Kingdom of Great Britain - in Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast.

Oleksiy Zhmudenko is a laureate of international competitions, he graduated Kiev Higher Music School named after Reinhold Gliere and National Music Academy of Ukraine named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky. From 2011 to 2019 he worked as a soloist at Kiev Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre for Children and Youth. He toured in Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany.

In the performance on May 5, the soloist of the opera Anastasia Martynyuk will first perform the part of Marta, Iolanta’s nanny. Anastasiya Martynyuk was invited to the troupe in November 2018. She has already performed the parts of Suzuki (“Madama Butterfly” by Puccini) and Rosina (“The Barber of Seville” by Rossini),she is preparing the part of Carmen (“Carmen” by Bizet).

The main part in “Iolanta”will be performed by Yulia Tereshchuk on May 5. Conductor is Honoured Artist of Ukraine Igor Shavruk.
