Aleksey Gruzin will first perform the part in the opera “Cossacks beyond the Danube”

The theatre-goers will first see the baritone Aleksey Gruzin as Sultan in the opera “Cossacks beyond the Danube” by Semen Gulak-Artyomovskiy, which will be held on the stage of our theatre today, on June 25.

Aleksey Gruzin is a winner of the international vocalist competition named after Antonin Dvorak (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic in 1999). In 2000 he graduated from Odessa State (now - National) Music Academy named after Antonina Nezhdanova. He has been working in the opera troupe since 1999. Aleksey Gruzin performs the parts in the operas “Iolanta” and “Eugene Onegin” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, “Carmen” by Georges Bizet, “Pagliacci” by Ruggero Leoncavallo, “Madama Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini, “Il Barbiere de Seville” by Gioacchino Rossini and others. He toured in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Qatar.

Today the performance “Cossacks beyond the Danube” will be held under the baton of a conductor Margarita Grinivetskaya.
