People's Artist of Ukraine Larysa Zuienko will first appear in "The Barber of Seville"

In the earliest performance "The Barber of Seville", People's Artist of Ukraine Larysa Zuienko will appear for the first time as Berta. The opera will be held this Friday, on October 18th.

More than that, the baritone Ivan Fliak will debut in the part of Officer.

Larysa Zuienko (soprano) graduated from Odessa State Conservatory (now Odessa National Music Academy) named after Antonina Nezhdanova. She has been working at Odessa Opera House since 1988. She participated in the concerts of Opera Stars in Toronto, in productions in Austrian Kufstein, in opera festivals in Lviv, Odessa, Qatar, Larnaca and Estonian Kuressaare. The artist was invited twice to participate in the performances of Opera Bastille in Paris: in 1997 - in “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi (part of Violetta) and 2000 in “War and Peace” by Serhii Prokofiev (the parts of Natasha Rostova and Dunyasha). In 2000 - 2005 she collaborated with Ellen Kent and Opera International, toured in England, Scotland and Ireland. She is a professor in the department of solo singing of Odessa National Academy of Music named after Antonina Nezhdanova.

Ivan Flyak graduated from Odessa Academy of Music in vocal class in 2008, as well as postgraduate education of the same university in 2011. He has been working in the opera company of Odessa National Opera and Ballet Theatre since 2008. He toured in Poland and Spain.

The other parts in the performance on October 18th will be performed by Anastasiia Martyniuk (Rozina), Bohdan Panchenko (Figaro), Honoured Artist of Ukraine Vladyslav Horai (Count Almaviva), Yurii Dudar (Bartolo), Honoured Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Pavliuk (Basilio) and Vasyl Dobrovolskyi (Fiorello).

The opera will be conducted by the chief conductor of the theatre Vyacheslav Chernukho-Volich.
