Soprano Alina Vorokh will first sing the part of Violetta in a new version of the opera “La Traviata”

Soprano Alina Vorokh will first sing the part of Violetta in a new version of the opera “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi. The performance will be held on the stage of the theatre on Sunday, February 23.

Alina Vorokh is a laureate and diploma winner of a number of international competitions. She graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State Music College named by Mykhailo Hlinka and Odessa State (now National) Music Academy named after Antonina Nezhdanova. She has been working in the troupe of Odessa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet since 2002. She performs about couple dozen leading parts and individual arias and pieces in the repertoire of the theatre. She gave recitals in Russia, Scotland, France, Germany and England.

On February 23 the other parts will be performed by Anastasiia Martyniuk (Flora), Oleh Zlakoman (Alfredo Germont), People's Artists of Ukraine Viktor Mitiushkin (Giorgio Germont) and Vasyl Navrotskyi (Barone Douphol), Pavlo Smyrnov (Gastone), Oleksii Hruzin (Marchese d'Obigny ), Serhii Uzun (doctor Grenvil), Alina Druhak (Annina) and Ivan Fliak (Commissioner).

The performance will be held under the baton of the chief conductor of the theatre Viacheslav Chernukho-Volich.
