Johannes Ebenbauer

 Johannes Ebenbauer (Austria)

Johannes Ebenbauer studied at the University of Music and Theatre, Graz (Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz), the faculty of "Church Music". He mastered organ performance, conducting, singing (vocal), composition. He also studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna (Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien) as  an organist.

Mr. Ebenbauer was appointed as a Kapellmeister at the Vienna St. Stephen's Cathedral in 1991.

Mr. Ebenbauer has been teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna since 2005.  In 2012 he gained  PhD(organ class and improvisation), in March 2013 - the degree of professor.

Mr.Ebenbauer is the organizer and leader of the vocal ensemble Cappella Albertina Wien and the Baroque Orchestra named after J.J. Fuchs.

In 2006 he was awarded a gold honorary badge "For Services to the Republic of Austria".

Mr. Ebenbauer has fast and creative life: he takes part in many international festivals as an organist and conductor, the recordings of his works are broadcast on radio and television.

A significant event in the biography of the musician was the execution of musical compositions on the oldest Vienna organ (1642) of the Vienna Court Chapel.
