Tutor of Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. People's Artist of Ukraine.


Mikhail Petukhov debuted in Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre in 1968. (Elf in the ballet "Thumbelina" by Efim Rusinov). He was a chief choreographer of the theater.

At the invitation of Maya Plisetskaya he danced in the ballet "Anna Karenina" by Rodion Shchedrin  (Vronskiy and station worker).

His repertoire includes:

Arbenin (the ballet "Masquerade" to the music by Aram Khachaturian);

Basil (the ballet "Don Quixote" by Ludwig Minkus);

Albert (the ballet "Giselle" by Adolphe Adam);

Ivanushka (the ballet "Humpbacked Horse" by Rodion Shchedrin)

Spartacus (the eponymous ballet by Aram Khachaturian);

Jose, Torero and Corregidor ("Carmen Suite" by Georges Bizet - Rodion Shchedrin);

the leading roles in the ballets "La Bayadere", "La Sylphide", "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet", "Waltz", "War and Peace", "Impish couplets"

and other parts.

He has toured in Finland, China, Spain, Hungary, Canada, Portugal, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Egypt and other countries.
