Natalia KADANTSEVA to debut as Konchakovna in Prince Igor

An opera soloist Natalia KADANTSEVA debuts as Konchakovna in the opera Prince Igor by Alexander BORODIN. The performance takes place on Thursday, February 13. It starts at 6:30 pm. 

Natalia KADANTSEVA (mezzo-soprano) is the Second Prize Winner at the 8th International Competition of Ukrainian Song in Truskavets (1998) and the Grand Prix Winner at the Chaliapin International Festival Competition of Chorus and Solo Singing (Yalta, 2012). The singer is a graduate of the Kharkov Arts Institute in solo singing (1990)and the Nezhdanova Odessa State (National) Music Academy (2009) The soloist has toured Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany.

Tatiana ZAKHARCHUK and Victor MITYUSHKIN play leading roles as Yaroslavna and Prince Igor. Other performers are Oleg ZLAKOMAN (Vladimir Igorevich), Vladimir MURASHCHENKO (Vladimir Yaroslavovich), Dmitry PAVLYUK ( Konchak), Mikhail PERFILOV (Ovlur) and Anastasia HOLUB as a Polovtsian Girl. 

The conductor for the performance is Igor TCHERNETSKY.

The current production of the opera Prince Igor (stage direction by Stanislav GAUDASINSKY, People’s Artist of Russia) in the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater was premiered on July 3, 5 and 9, 2011.
