New choreographic version was implemented by Honored Artist of Russia Yuriy Vasyuchenko.

Conductor of the production - Oksana Lyniv, art director - Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Bevzenko-Zinkina.

Main parts of the premiere of the ballet were performed by Elena Dobryanskaya (Kitri) and Dmitry Sharay(Basilio), Vyacheslav Kravchenko (Don Quixote), Nikolay Vorivodin (Sancho Panza), Tatiana Afanyutina (street dancer), Stanislav Skrynnik (Espada), Stella Chernova (Mercedes) Oksana Tunkevich (Gypsy), Ekaterina Kalchenko (Queen of the Dryads) and others .

"The soloist of Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Elena Dobryanskaya in Kitri’s role is beyond all praise. Here is a brilliant technique as the  feminine of forms, artistry, sparkling eyes “shooting" not only the hearts of the characters, but the audience as well.

Elena’s partner Dmitry Sharay(Basilio) is at the appropriate level too. The same we can say about the performer of the toreador Espada – Eduard Skrynnik, Tatiana Afanyutina (street dancer), and the other soloists. The corps de ballet is also quite good, although it should work and work to reach perfect results ... "- the theater critic Maria Gudyma wrote it about the ballet “Don Quixote".

The production was put on the stage of the theater more than 25 times. For two years the main characters of the ballet - Kitri and Basilio – were performed by Midora Terada and Koya Okawa, Elena Kodrateva and Vyacheslav Krutya, Honored Artists of the Republic of Moldova Maria Polyudova and Vladimir Statnyi, Tatiana Afanyutina and Denis Chernyak, Alina Khilko and Stanislav Skrynnik, Natalia Ivasenko and Pavel Grits gifted us new emotions and sincere feelings .

The correspondent of "Evening Odessa” Valentina Levchuko  wrote about "Don Quixote": "The soloists of the ballet, where there are many new persons, keep a decent level. Youth, physical perfection, good choreographic technique, neatly performed  complicated pas are real pleasure for the eye.  The production, as we know, is not born on the premiere. It still has a way of a stage evolvement."

We hope that the ballet will cover this way successfully, in a good professional manner and will continue to admire the visitors of the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater.
